What is fuchka?

Fuchka (ফুচকা) is a crisp, hollow shell, cracked open, filled with a savory filling and eaten with tangy tamarind water, all in one bite. In Bangladesh it’s sold from street stalls and carts, and it’s the snack friends share after school, after work, or on any evening out.

It’s social food. You order a plate for the group, argue about who can handle the heat, and order another plate.
